FSInn V1.3 FSCopilot V1.7 |
Freeware | Both FSX and FS9 users should be downloading FSInn 1.3 and FSCopilot 1.7. Together they make up this ATC Communications application for FSX and FS9. The FSCopilot software is an essential part of the current FSInn suite and must be installed before FSInn. Versions 1.3/1.7 are in stable beta, but the links are only available through the FSInn forum thread at http://www.mcdu.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4363UH (see the links at the bottom of that post or download directly from the links here on the left). Note: It is worth reading and following all of Larry James's instructions in http://forums.vatsim.net/viewtopic.php?t=20466 to avoid any problems. As he says, FS9 users may experience a performance problem with this release. |

| VAT-Spy | Freeware | VAT-Spy is a simple application that allows you to view current ATC staffing and traffic levels on VATSIM. It is modeled after, and is in effect a replacement for ServInfo. The link takes you to more detailed information, and pointers to download the software. | |
| Servinfo | Freeware | Servinfo shows controllers and pilots currently active on VATSIM, worldwide. You can display the data in tabular form or on a map. It also has many other useful functions such as world wide weather, lists of all the VATSIM servers, active voice servers, etc. | |

| FSUIPC3 | Freeware/ Shareware | FSUIPC Version 3.85 is an interface tool which allows all the flight parameters in Flight Simulator 2002 and 2004 to be imported and exported to other software. The freeware version has less functionality that the shareware version, and most serious simmers will use the shareware version. | |
| FSUIPC4 | Shareware | FSUIPC Version 4.40 is the same interface tool as FSUIPC3 but is specifically designed to work with FSX. It will not work with earlier versions of FS. FSUIPC Version 4 is shareware only. If you already use FSUIPC3, be careful to follow the install instructions exactly because they are different for FSX. |

| WideFS | Shareware | WideFS is the essential tool for using two (or more) networked PCs for Flight Simulator and ancillaries. WideFS will not work without FSUIPC. | FSNavigator | Shareware | Although seen at one time as an essential tool for Flight Simmers, this program is no longer available for purchase. Users with an existing registration code can still download a copy. It takes airport and navigation data from within FS9 and displays them on a map which also allows you to display your aircraft's current position. You can create flight plans, and even get FSNav to fly them for you! |

This is valuable for both training and multi-crew operation of complex aircraft. the utility also allows you ro simply be a passenger and look out of the window. It only works with FS2002 & 2004. | Roger Wilco | Freeware | A standalone Voice over internet application specifically designed for use with VATSIM to provide voice communications with virtual Air Traffic Control. This application is useful when two pilots are sharing a cockpit and both want to communicate with ATC. One pilot uses the FSInn built in comms. facility, the other uses Roger Wilco. This version is now not supported (the latest version is payware under the Gamespy banner) but works perfectly for our needs. | |
