The Piper PA30 Twin Comanche , or "Twinkie" as she is affectionately known by the many pilots that are captivated by this aircraft, is another type to receive the Tim Arnot treatment for the Club. The original model is the Eaglesoft PA30 Twin Comanche G-UAVA, by Eaglsoft, based on a real world Twin Comanche based in the UK at Oxford, EGTK. Tim has continued the Club's sequential registrations with G-CIXP which is available for FS9 or for FSX. Click the picture for G-CIXP for FS9 Other downloads: G-UAVA for FS9 : G-CIXP for FSX |

The Piper PA38 Tomahawk is an aircraft designed specifically for pilot training. It is an aircraft you either like or dislike. Plus points are good visibility, and it is easy to land well. Negative points are tricky slow flight handling and spin recovery plus a constant tinny drumming whilst in flight in some models. Pete Chapman flies a PA38 - G-Hawk, so he clearly is one who likes it. (So does your CFI who has flown one on a few occasions real-world). The model illustrated is from the Just Flight Flying Club series, which is a payware add-on for Flight Simulator 2004. "The definitive General Aviation collection for FS in one package", say Just Flight. |

The Piper PA34 Seneca - a medium range light twin much used incommercial light aviation - air taxis, air ambulances etc. Ruth McTighe flies one of these with the Club as G-FLYI, London's Capital Radio traffic spotting aircraft. This model is another from the Just Flight Flying Club series.

If you didn't learn to fly real world in a Tomahawk, we bet you learned in a Cessna 150/152! These are fun little aircraft which won't take you in comfort to the south of France, but are great for Club evenings around Gloucester or Biggin Hill. Tim's paint scheme is bright enough to wakeup the sleepiest little airfield. This model is another from the Just Flight Flying Club series.

Fancy a bit of up-diddly-up and down-diddly-down? The Cessna 150L Aerobat might just be the plane for you! Spin it, loop it - throw it around This repaint is for the Fravin Cessna 150L.This is a freeware add-on for Flight Simulator 2004, which can be downloaded from http://drk.free.fr/tutoriels/creation/c150_en.php La documentation est en français, ainsi si c'est un problème - apprend le français ! |

If aerobatics is not your thing, maybe the Cessna 150L Commuter might be more to your taste. Like the Aerobat, it was built in the Reims factory in France, so is considered a little bit special. This is the deluxe Cessna, designed for cross-country flying. This repaint is also for the Fravin Cessna 150L, from http://drk.free.fr/tutoriels/creation/c150_en.php La documentation cela est aussi en français, ainsi si c'est un problème - apprend le plus français!

The old workhorse - the Cessna 172 . With a production run up to 1986 of over 34,000, there are more of them in existence than any other light aircraft and statistically they have the best safety record. Tim has created a smart paint job for the FS2004 default C172. It can also be used on the RealAir Simulations Cessna 172SP

This is G-CIXH, another variant of the Cessna 172 - the Flight1 172R. This is a payware add-on aircraft for Flight Simulator 2004.

TheCessna 172's bigger brother the 182 features a constant speed propeller and a 130 knots crusing speed. If you are coming into Gloucester or Biggin Hill from some distance on Club nights, this could be a good choice of aircraft. This is exactly what Tim has done, which is probably why it was his first repaint for the Club. This is one of several superb aircraft from the Caranedo stable and one of Tim's regular aircraft (G-OCIX).

The next size up Sir? Try the 6-seat Cessna 206 Stationair, its 310hp turbocharged engine giving you 140 knots cruising speed at any altitude with a 700 miles range. That's about Nice to Gloucester, if you fancy it one Club night, although going the other way would be better for your social life! This is another aircraft from the Caranedostable.

The luxurious BeechBaron 58 - a serious option for that south of France trip, capable ofcruising at twice the speed of the humble Cessna 152. Several clubmembers fly the Baron. Tim's paint scheme is for the (payware) Dreamfleet version.

Spotthe difference! This is an alternative paint scheme for the Dreamfleet Beech Baron 58.

Tim Arnot has written a short tutorialon how to change the registration letters on your favourite aircraft, where Flight Simulator does not do it automatically from within themenu structure. It involves a bit of work with a graphics package andan extended bitmap converter, but is very rewarding when finished. Hereis G-ANOD, the Tiger Moth by John Woodside, with a new registration added by Peter Dodds.
