EGKL Deanland for FSX

Anthony Sheehy has produced a very nice little scenery for Deanland. Set in the rolling Sussex Downs, it's an ideal grass strip for a short hop from Shoreham or Biggin Hill.

Kirbride for FSX

Outstanding scenery of this very active but delapidated airfield for FSX. It includes most of the ex-RAF buildings which are still standing, albeit in some cases with trees growing out through the roofs, all faithfully modelled. See included readme file for installation instructions. This scenery will not work in FS9. By Richard Sinclair and Ted Andrews.

EGBS Shobdon
ADE file + scenery 7Kb

Airfield scenery for FSX. See included readme file for installation instructions. Requires some addon libraries, which can be downloaded from avsim and flightsim.com. By Tim Arnot.

Cix VFR Club Facilities Biggin Hill

Our new Club facilities at Biggin Hill for members who are using the default scenery. Our thanks to Pete Chapman for putting it together, and to non-member Ted Andrews for constructing the Clubhouse.

Cix VFR Club Facilities Biggin Hill
FS9 with British Airports/UK2000

Our new Club facilities at Biggin Hill for members who have installed Part 3 of Gary Summon's UK2000 or British Airports detailed airport scenery. Our thanks to Pete Chapman for putting it together, and to non-member Ted Andrews for constructing the Clubhouse.

Biggin Parking

Fed up with not being able to park your Humvee outside the clubhouse (that lorry full of chairs doesn't help does it?) then download this small addon by Harry Elkins which adds proper parking bays to Pete and Ted's clubhouse scenery. For the Gary Summon's UK2000 version only.

Cix VFR Club Hangar
Gloucestershire

Members who have installed Part 6 of Gary Summon's UK2000 detailed airport scenery can now see the Club Name on 'our' hangar at Gloucestershire. Our thanks indeed to Gary for giving us this little update free of charge.

UK Farmstrips for FSX part_3

They were designed for use with the VFR GM photoscenery of England and Wales, are still compatible with that scenery, in FSX, and should be compatible with the more recent UK photo sceneries.

Essex Airstrips_v011

Ten private airfields (Fram Strips) created by club member Pete Chapman. These complement the work done by Gerry Winskill for the rest of England and Wales.

UKANO1  :  UKANO2

ANO can stand for Air Navigation Order , or Aviation Law.  It also stands for Air Navigation Obstacles - "sticky up things" to quote the designer of this scenery, member Gerry Winskill.  Anything which sticks up more than 300 feet above the surrounding terrain is an ANO and Gerry has reproduced them all. In two volumes. Unzip to a temporary directory and follow the included instructions.

UK Refineries

Oil tanks and flare stacks make very obvious landmarks. Gerry has recreated all of the UK refineries in this set.

Severn Bridges

A distinctive landmark for anyone flying in the Bristol-Cardiff area.  The Severn Estuary needs its bridges as much as the Thames needs its bridges, so here they are.

Redhill VRPs

A very simple building with a steady red light on top, depicting Reigate Station VRP, and a motorway junction and mast depicting the M23/M25 junction. Look carefully at night and you will see cars driving along the roads. Just to help a bit in night navigation.

ukvrp-fsx2.zip

Hot on the heels of Dave Lidgley's VRP data for FSX is this scenery file for FSX, which contains a visual marker placed at each of the 291 UK VRPs recognised and defined by the CAA. Updated 19/03/2010 to include new VRPs for London City. Provided by Tony Driver. (5Kb)

ukvrpv1.zip

Most of the official UK Visual Reference Points (VRPs). In FS9, they appear as barber's poles. They have lights on top for night flying.

ukvrp_fs9_v2.zip

Club member Andrew Sambrook has provided a new version of the official UK Visual Reference Points (VRPs) for FS2004. It includes all 291 recognised VRPs plus the new London City ones making 296 in total. He has made use of a default red and white lighthouse as a marker, which can be seen from about 5nm, and is visible at night. Refer to the included Readme text file for more details.
