Local Attractions Arundel Castle

Nearby Arundel Castle is one of the great treasure houses of England. This FS scenery object can be found at VFR Add Ons.

Situated on the airfield is the Shoreham Archive & Visitor Centre. The Archive provides a detailed history of the airfield, which was opened in 1910, and was active through both world wars. The Visitor Centre gives an introduction to aviation for all ages, with various displays. Guided tours of the airfield are available at a modest cost. Local Events

The Bluebell Railway Company organise several events each year. They are the proud owners of 80151. It was the last in a long line of large tank locomotives to have been built at the Brighton Railway Works in 1956.

The Royal Automobile Club's annual London to Brighton Veteran Car Rally (LBVCR) is the world's longest running motoring event. It attracts entrants from all over the globe and for the owners of these highly valuable Veteran cars it represents a rare opportunity to take their extraordinary automobiles on the 60 mile run from Hyde Park in central London to the seafront on the Sussex resort of Brighton.
