Two Tigers
Gray in the white DH82 and Peter in the gray one (!) preparing for flight. Gray (whose aircraft is actually yellow!) led a simultaneous tandem take off which worked well. Peter catches up with Gray shortly after takeoff . Holding station is becoming easier. We were joined by a Eurocopter G-JOHN seen here just behind Peter's tailfin.
Tailchasing across Gloucestershire at 1000 feet. Gray undertaking! Side by side - well, almost!
We practiced three opposed run ins over Gloucestershire's runway 27. They worked well enough, getting better with each one, but we need to be a lot closer when we pass. Flying using external view, so he could get screenshots, Peter got a bit low!
View from Gray's cockpit. Peter is definitely mowing the grass! You can even see his shadow following him. Note that the white DH82 which Gray sees is actually grey! Climbing away for another go.
Practice over, Gray approaches to land on 27. As Gray touches down. Peter flies a low and tight downwind over the field ... ...and is soon on base leg. I wouldn't hang around there if I were you Gray! Gray "snaps" Peter as he passes . Yes, he is landing this time, not mowing.
