Not so much a sim cockpit as a real boat... This is the Avella, and is captained by member Roger Harris. It's a 34m (112ft) 'Azimut' class motor yacht, with top speed of 25kts, cruise at 18kts. |
A liitle work with a graphics package neatly puts members with their Flight Sim aircraft.

Not quite a 737NG but it feels gooooood! | Who's that sitting in Peter D's Left hand seat? Why it's none other than antipodean member Dave Humble - See News. | Stephen Banks "in" his Flight1/Dreamfleet Archer, G-BNXY, on the apron at Leeds Bradford. | Tim Arnot with one of his paint jobs the Traumahawk G-CIXA |

| This is John Crockatt's 'cockpit'. John says: "The main computer runs in the top & right hand monitors, and the laptop is connected to the main computer via Wideview (or will be when I get it to work on my new computer) | Here we have David Lidgleys 'work in progress' home cockpit, running on two PC's, one for FS and the other for the gauges which are Project Magenta's GAifr panel, and FSC80. The switches and rotaries are connected to Flight Deck Technologies "Sim Board USB" | Tim Arnot's set up with two PCs (although only one monitor), CH yoke, pedals and throttle quadrant, GoFlight stack, and yes, that's a Garmin 296 sat on top of it! | Gray Bretts "Temporary" G.A. This is Al Regina's setup. He says, "It is modelled against a C172, which is my preferred airplane. I have done a tiny tiny bit of real flying and wanted the cockpit to feel as real as possible." |
Roger Harris has also been building his own cockpit. It will eventually have home-made analogue gauges, a radio and a basic switch panel. Instruments will include ASI, AI, ALT, Slip Ball, and VSI. The kit comes from OpenCockpits, and comprises a USB Servo card, which allows 6 servos, and a standard Master Card through the parallel port, allowing up to 72 inputs.
