Two Club aircraft lining up for take-off - except the one behind is G-RAMI - a Robinson R22 Helicopter! Alpha Victor downwind for runway 21 at Biggin Hill. Member Tim Hutchinson was manning Biggin Tower, practising for his S3 exam. Ruth McTighe in G-FLYI waiting for take off clearance as Peter Dodds in G-GYAV is about to touch down. The three club aircraft which took part on Tim's practice night as seen on FS Navigator

Busy busy for Tim Hutchinson. Alpha Victor on climb-out, just behind,is Tony Driver's G-XAJD, (almost out of sight behind AV's tail) and G-FLYI on her take off roll. The Servinfo scene, 24/03/05. This is G-RAMI, the Robinson R22 helicopter just landing as seen from G-XAJD. Such aberrations were not uncommon with Squawkbox 2. At the end of the evening, Tony and Peter park up on the grass for the usual chin-wag.
Squawkbox 3 is launched. Peter's initial setting up is just so easy compared with SB2. 26/03/05 KLM 176 parks smoothly nearby at London City. I need to find out how to get rid of that intrusive transponder box. 26/03/05 Leeds 29/03/05. Trevor Heaps ploughs his way along taxiway Alpha to the hold. One day all our runways will be the same elevation! View from the tower at Leeds as Trevor (on the runway) Peter and Tony prepare to take off for Liverpool.
Tony and Peter in loose formation. No more jerking around the sky. Tony was using the just released FSInn comms software, Peter was on SB3. "I'm behind you!" Tony following Peter easily, just 500 feet behind. FSInn and SB3 report slightly different distances. Tony passes Peter on his left wing near Oulton Park VRP. We followed the standard VFR route inbound to Liverpool via Oulton Park & Helsby Hill. On the G.A. Apron at Liverpool, G-GYAV's real world home. It was Peter's first flight with Vatsim into the Airport he flies from in the real world.
