My rear passenger clocks Tony D at 4 o'clock high, right in my blind spot. Descending dead side,he seems to maintain position BEHIND and outside me Yet as I turn downwind, the blighter cuts me up, causing me to spill my coffee and reach for the airprox form How did he get there?
Prudence being a girl's name, I decide to extend downwind. But beware giant paper darts -they can be a bit of a bully in the circuit...

Looking back over myshoulder, you can see Juliet Fox on base... Final for 09. You cansee the huge cluster of red IDs at the far end of the runway! Departing the circuit from crosswind. Although we're directly in line with the departure runway, there is a mandatory right turn to 030 immediately after take off, with the climb to 1000ft QFE on that heading. This is the firstt ime I've visited Wellesbourne since installing the autogen, and it makes a big difference to the wooded hills on the South side of the field. Peter appears to be leaving us at the same time!
I thought it would be nice and quiet at Wellesbourne. So I was parked up, connected, and within seconds I was assaulted (there can be no other word for it!) thus!

The 'Twotter' taxies in - a foot in the air, watched by Tony. David H in his very smart Piper Archer watches Peter D in the Twin Otter G-GXXB on late final during its maiden appearance as a Club Aircraft. How to fly an overhead join for runway 09. Tony Driver demonstrates. The right hand vertical trace is his departure after a touch and go. Members gather outside the Cix Flying Club Hangar at Gloucester at the start of the evening.
