11/02/09	Cix on the Costa	Spain is in general a very mountainous country. On this flight we had to pay special attention to altitude, climbs and descents, as we had to pass over peaks as high as 5300 ft, and descend rapidly again to sea level. The event saw a splendid turnout from Club members and local Spanish pilots and Controllers.
16/01/09	Tokyo Tour	This round-robin started from Chofu airport in the heart of Tokyo, and took us on a tour through the city and out over the bay to the picturesque volcanic island of Oshima, where we land for tea. Then we continued over the volcanic mountains of Hakone back to Choku.
01/12/08	Christmas Capers	During December this year we flew from Oslo to Bodo up the west coast of Norway to admire the mountains and fjords winter scenery. It proved well worthwhile.
19/11/08	Channel Island Challenge	Departing Bournemouth, another convoy of Club aircxraft flew to Jersey, then Guernsey, then Alderney, before returning to Bournemouth.

16/09/08	Templehof	A convoy of some of the Club's larger aircraft flew to Berlin and back to celebrate (if that's quite the right word) the impending closure of Berlin Templehof Airport, scene of the 1948-49 Berlin Airlift.

17/08/08	Oshkosh	EAA Airventure, the world's biggest airshow, takes place at Oshkosh Wisconsin at the end of July. A small but intrepid band of club members decided to go and check it out...

19/04/08	Lewknor NavEx	We made a trip from Gloucester to Shoreham, via Lewkor, in honour of Darren Lewington, the Operations Manager and former SATCO at Gloucestershire airport.
19/04/08	Stripping for Summer	Landing and taking off from farm strips requires mastery of an aircraft that can handle the short runway length. But first you have to find the strip... An ongoing Cix VFR event (see here for full details).
06/04/08	Cheltenham Gold Cup	We were commissioned by Mike Pike to pick up some of the many Irish men and women who wished to attend the Races at Cheltenham. Leaving from Barton on Monday, we went round the north of Liverpool, along the Welsh coast to Anglesey, then across the Irish Sea to Dublin's Weston airport.

11/10/06	2-4-Cix No. 1	Pictures and video of the first 2-4-Cix training flights and practice sessions in 2006.
26/09/06	The Emerald Isle: - The Club Visits Galway	Starting from Liverpool on 26th September members of the Cix Club crossed the Irish Sea, calling at Weston, west of Dublin, and on to Galway. A few of us did some local flying in the Galway area during the week. The return trip to Gloucestershire was on 3rd October, via Waterford, and Haverfordwest.
13/07/06	Sywell Virtual Airshow 2006	On 13th July, members of the Cix VFR Club took part in the Sywell Virtual Airshow, providing a flypast of vintage aircraft including a Spitfire, Tiger Moths and Chipmunks.
20/4/06 to 27/4/06	Exeter Event Isle of Scilly Trip and Devon & Cornwall	On the 13th April, club members flew down to Exeter from our Biggin Hill base,. The following week, Tony Driver organised a trip down to St. Mary's in the Scilly Isles, with a return the same evening to Exeter. On the 27th, the club made a round tour of Devon and North Cornwall departing from, and returning to Exeter, with calls at Plymouth, Bodmin, Lundy Island and Belle Vue Farm. The return trip to Biggin Hill took place on 4th May.
16/3/06 to 30/03/06	East Anglia Round Robin	from our Biggin Hill base, we crossed the Thames to Southend, then followed the east coast to Great Yarmouth, before turning inland to Norwich. On 23rd some of us met at Norwich, and flew around Norfolk. The return trip was on the 30th, starting from Norwich, south and then west passing over Bury St Edmunds to Cambridge. From there we called in at Luton Airport on our way back to Biggin Hill.
07/02/06 to 21/02/06	2nd Anniversary Isle of man	For the Club's second anniversary , members visited the Isle of Man flying outbound on 7th Feb, routing via Welshpool and over the Welsh mountains to the Isle of Anglesey, then across the water direct to the Isle of Man. On 14th February, during their stay on the Island, members were invited to spend time exploring the local area. The return trip to Gloucester, via Valley took place on 21st Feb.
18/1/06	Solent Round Robin	Starting from Biggin Hill, the plan was to visit Shoreham, Bembridge on the Isle of Wight, continue over to Southampton, dodge the gliders at Lasham, and finally into Redhill, before returning to Biggin Hill. Unfortunately, only Tony D. and Pete C. were able to make an appearance for what proved to be too ambitious an event, both having to miss out a number of stopping points in order to get back to Biggin in a reasonable time
17/11/05	London SVFR	Sightseeing Round London following Ruth McTighe's "Flying Eye, Piper Seneca G-FLYI.
14/07/05	Sywell	Quite a magnificent event in which Vatsim member Bill Casey organised an Air Display at this delightful Northamptonshire grass airfield, of which we were the first "Act".
03/07/05	Kemble 2005	Two outings to Kemble over the PFA Rally - these are picturess from the hugely successfull Sunday event.
24/03/05 to 29/03/05	Squawkbox 3 and FSInn arrive	Pictures of the Club's last flight with Squawkbox 2 and the first outing using Squawkbox 3 and FSInn. Vatsim had over 1000 users on line simultaneously for several days following the launch of these great new comms applications.
11/03/05	Red Nose Day at Hawarden	Flying to Hawarden to watch the virtual battle of Britain memorial Flight do a brilliant display. All landing fees (£2 a time) were given to the RND Appeal. (Bottom half of page)
02/02/05	First Anniversary Outing	For its first anniversary outing, the Club went to Rotterdam, and were well looked after by the ATCO who waited up past his normal bedtime (one hour ahead of us remember) for us all to arrive.
14/12/04	Taildragger night	Four vintage aircraft, some pootling, some hurtling around the Gloucestershire skies and trying to land on 3 wheels simultaneously.
07/12/04	Inaugural Gloucestershire Night	Eight light aircraft, five of them club members, arrived at Gloucestershire for a Champagne supper to celebrate the opening of the Club's second base.
23/09/04	Biggin Bump Night	Eight aircraft at Biggin Hill, all going round and round and round...
11/07/04	Virtual PFA Rally at Kemble	Eleven aircraft, including five from the club made this a memorable event for VATSIM pilots who like VFR fliying in light aircraft.
28/06/04	Formation flying - not	We decided at the last minute to go to Stansted and back. We tried formation flight on the way back, but it doesn't work too well in FS - or maybe we needed more practice.
28/05/04	Sydney Harbour Tour	The magnificent scenery and sights around Sydney harbour and Bankstown Airport.
04/05/04	Exploring Flight characteristics	Lots of fun overhead Rochester and Detling VOR in poor visibility. A bit crowded on the approach to Biggin Hill on our return.
