CIX VFR Club Pilot Reports

Members are encouraged to submit a Pilot's Report, or PIREP in the jargon. It provides not only a personal record of your flights with the Club, but also helps the Club provide activities to suit members by knowing who takes part in which event. PIREP's may be filed for any Club Flight as defined below.
PIREP Rules	A recognised Club Flight may be any one of the following: - Flying on a regular Club night at one of our operating bases. Taking part in one of the Club's published events. Making any other VFR flight which is not a Club event. Provided that: You must be connected to VATSIM and making use of any available Air Traffic Control Service. You must identify the flight as a Club Flight by the addition of the text "CIX VFR CLUB" in the comments section of your VATSIM flight plan. The flight must normally be VFR and include at least one take off and one landing. Flights which start as VFR, then have to convert to IFR due to weather conditions may be included.
Submit a PIREP
Member STARS	As an encouragement to take part in the activities for which the club was established, we have introduced "Member Stars". A number of stars are awarded each month for flying to or from our base locations, for visiting nominated guest locations, or taking part in a Star Event. These stars will be shown in the Members List on the club web site. Stars will be awarded automatically at the beginning of each month, by means of a software routine which analyses your PIREPs, checking data for the previous calendar month. It follows that for this to work successfully, and for your stars to be awarded, you must record your flight in the club PIREP facility. For this scheme you MUST include the airfield's ICAO code, in the from and to fields. For example "Gloucestershire EGBJ" and "EGBJ" are valid, but just "Gloucestershire" is not. Star Rules
Submit a PIREP	To Submit a PIREP, click on the link on the left. If you are logged into the forum already, this takes you direct to the report input form. A copy of which is shown below. Otherwise it will take you to the forum login page. Fill in details of your flight, and click "Submit" to file the report. After submitting, the form will clear, and you can add another report if you wish. When you have finished, close the PIREP window to return to this page.
Member List	To view your PIREPs, first go to the Member List by clicking on the link to the left. Then click on your name in the Member List. You can also view other members' reports by clicking on their names. PIREPS are displayed in chronolological order, with the latest at the top. The Member List shows each member's total PIREP reported flying hours.
